Easy Shadow Receiver
In the Built-In render pipeline, shadows can be displayed on translucent objects.
Features
• Shadows can be displayed on solid, translucent, and fully transparent objects.
• Usable on PC, Mobile, and VR (Single Pass Instanced).
• Theoretically usable on AR, but not yet tested.
• Multiple Shadow Receiver models can be combined (best quality and performance are achieved with a single model).
• No complicated setup—just one shader is needed.
Notes
• Can only be used in the Built-In render pipeline.
• Can only be used in Forward Render.
• Can only receive shadows from one Directional Light.
• This is not a complete shadow feature but can simulate a similar effect.
Quality Settings (Required!!)
• Anti Aliasing = 8x Multi Sampling (MSAA)
• Shadow Projection = Close Fit
Steps for Use
• Create a model prepared to be the Shadow Receiver.
• Assign the shader: EasyShadowReceiver_Built-In.
• On the Shadow Receiver model, only enable the "Receive Shadow" option and disable all other options.
• On the original models receiving shadows, you can disable the "Receive Shadow" option to optimize performance.
• Refer to the example scene: Demo_Built-In.
